The Model 1906/29 Luger was created as an attempt to produce a simplified version of the 1906 design. The 1906/29 model featured an improved grip, lengthened grip safety, plastic grip handles and a U-shape near the safety notch. The total number of Model 1906/29 Lugers produced was 27,930 pistols. These Lugers were numbered 50,011 to 77,941. The Luger offered for sale in this auction is number 59,618. All parts of this pistol have matching serial numbers and the magazine is orginal to this firearm with the "P" proof-stamp on the bottom, back portion of the magazine. All proof-stamps are clear and visible on this firearm. We place bluing at 98% with some slight wear on the pistol's high-points. The trigger has an incredibly smooth action; this particular Luger is truly a fine collector's piece. The purchase of this Luger also includes the original leather holster & strap, extra magazine and display case which are in fine condition.
