DEVELOPMENT OF THE SYSTEM
The idea for this system originated following the use of the multipurpose Fulcrum EI by the Italian "Nibbio" Contingent in Afghanistan. The excellent results obtained through the use of the Fulcrum EI gave rise to the idea of modifying it in such a way that it could be fixed to the issued rifle without losing its special characteristics, thus making it a complete multipurpose tool. In addition it can be provided with an optional rope cutter and a mine detector.

ADAPTABILITY
A hilt-tang kit, without rifle attachments transforms the system into a simple multipurpose dagger.

COMPATIBILITY
The system allows it to be adapted, by substituting only the tang and hilt, to all types of assault rifles currently in use and potentially in development.

FIELD TESTS
This equipment has been tested in use by the Italian Army special forces.

ERGONOMICS TESTS
Tests on the ergonomics in rotation and electromiographic trials have been carried out by Perugia University.

PERFORMANCE TESTS
Trials were carried out with the collaboration of Florence University; tests on penetration of NATO standard belts and soft ballistic protection.
