$425.00
Swiss Short Sabre (Briquet-Sabre) with black leather scabbard from the old Swiss 3rd Grenadier Regiment. The sword is from Canton Thurgau; the Northern region of Switzerland and was manufactured between 1842 and 1852. The slightly curved, steel blade has some very slight discoloration. There are no visible nicks in the steel of the blade. The overall condition of the blade is very good. The solid brass hilt (handle) has an extremely minute amount of pitting that is hardly worth the mention. The leather scabbard with solid brass chape (tip) and locket (uppermost mount of scabbard) is also in very good condition. Overall, the condition of this mid 19th century antique is very good and would be an excellent addition to any edged weapons collection.
This is the only model 1842/52 in stock! This model of sword in Very Good condition generally sells for 325.00 Euros overseas.
