$1,095.00
Manufactured in Solingen, Germany by Peter D. Luneschloss and imported by Tiffany & Co. to supply the Union Army for the U.S. Civil war. Many will find it hard to believe Tiffany & Co. was once involved with importing edged weapons, however, the company did import a large amount of presentation-grade officers swords many made by Germans Peter D. Luneschloss, Schnitzler and Kirschbaum. This particular sabre is in very good, nearly excellent condition. The scabbard is a black steel, the hilt is manufactured of brass and the grip is fashioned of black leather wrapped in twisted wire. The steel blade is in very good condition with very little discoloration. All in all, this sabre is a fine and original example of a heavy cavalry officer's sword.
This sword was recently appraised to sell for $1200 USD within the United States. We've priced this item to sell.
