This 20 round magazine was originally designed and produced for use with the AMD-65 AK Variant rifle. The shorter barrel of the rifle with folding stock was ideal for use by tank troops. Tanks have very limited space making the AMD-65 the premier tank rifle of its time. Also, the shorter magazine does not protrude much further than beyond the pistol grip increasing the ease of operation.This magazine can be used on all stamped receiver 7.62 x 39 mm AK-47 variants
